This is the new paperback version of Lark’s cookbook, featuring recipes by chef and owner John Sundstrom.
The goal was to refresh the overall look while staying true to the voice of the previous book. With this in mind, I updated elements such as color palette and other visual elements, choosing to keep the original typeface for all major heads and running text while introducing a new sans serif as the secondary typeface. For the cover, I experimented with the concept of finished dishes as well as landscapes. Ultimately, a moody, expressive seascape was chosen to convey the Pacific Northwest and align with the forestscape of the previous edition.
